Selecting Ingredients

Aromas and colours from around the world is a collection of exotic soaps inspired in very beautiful places around the world with natural wealth.

Its cosmetic formulations are prepared with organic oils, extracts and aromas that clean and care for skin, while reminding us and bringing us closer to their place of origin.

Essabó Eco soaps are not limited to using one ingredient and a bio perfume for each soap type, rather different base oils, and distinct extracts and essential oils are combined in each variety to obtain highly elaborate and exclusive mixtures. They are the highest quality, sustainable and unique soaps on the market.

The raw materials were selected very carefully by considering the autochthonous origin of each ingredient to, thus, encourage local production in each region by evidently bearing in mind their cosmetic value and the origin of their organic crops.

All the soaps in this range contain coconut oil from sustainable farming in the Philippines, and olive oil from Spanish bio crops, as their base oils and active ingredients. Coconut oil is one of the best cosmetic oils used in soap making. Its cleaning capacity and its plentiful soft lather, along with olive oil’s moisturing and soothing properties, make these soaps excellent for all skin types, even the most sensitive and delicate ones. At the end, oils and extracts, along with mixtures of natural essences, are added to each soap to make it a gift for all senses.

The Amazonas soap is enriched with cocoa butter from Brazil and jojoba oil from Argentina. Both are regenerating, nourishing and antioxidants. Ideal for normal and mature skins.

The Mediterráneo is soap enriched with aloe vera extract from Castellón and with Spanish sweet almond oil. This soap is nourishing, soothing and moisturising, and is ideal for normal and very sensitive skins.

The Sháhara soap is enriched with shea butter from Burkina Faso with fair-trade Argan oil from Morocco, which make it a very moisturising, soothing and nourishing soap that is ideal for normal and dry skins.

The process by which soaps are produced is handcrafted by means of cold saponification, which preserves the excellent properties of these oils in the final soaps.

Essabó Eco soaps are also apt for vegans as they neither contain ingredients of animal origin nor have been tested on animals. Nor do their formulations contain any ingredient of a petro-chemical origin. These soaps contain no synthetic additives, such as colourings, perfumes or preservatives, nor antimicrobial ingredients like isothiazolinones, known commericially as kathon, or parabens, sulphates, ethoxylates, and a long etcetera that are usually found in soap formulae (see the Annexe below). Essabó Eco soaps are 100% natural cosmetic cleaners that totally respect people’s health and the natural enviroment.
